On Sunday, April 24th, 2024, I had the pleasure of attending and photographing the Sarcoma Foundation of America's 5K Timed Run and 1 Mile Walk at Boston Common. It was more than just a typical race—it was a deeply moving experience. As a passionate runner, being there was extra special.

What made it even more touching was seeing many groups there to honor loved ones who had Sarcoma. Lots of people ran in memory of them, which was really touching. There were also many survivors, and it was heartwarming to see them being celebrated for their strength in fighting this disease. It was truly emotional to witness all of this.

Beyond just taking pictures, I felt the energy of the event. Every step taken by the participants wasn't just about reaching the finish line. It was also about raising money and awareness for Sarcoma, a type of cancer that needs more attention.

Despite the seriousness of the cause, there was a feeling of hope and togetherness in the air. Families, friends, and volunteers all came together, creating a supportive community. From the laughter of kids having fun to the music playing, it was a real celebration of life.

As I captured moments with my camera, I saw the determination on people's faces. Their resilience and courage were truly inspiring. Each person crossing the finish line filled me with joy and pride, knowing that their efforts were making a difference.

In conclusion, being part of this event on a beautiful spring morning in Boston was incredibly rewarding. I'm grateful for the chance to capture the spirit of the day through my photography and to witness the power of collective action and compassion firsthand.
